We use a polymeric sand on all of our paver jobs to prevent this problem. They need to be killed, the sand in the joints should be removed and polymeric sand should be added.

Asked by Jack C.
The paper that is put down under the stone base when installing the pavers is called geotextile. It is a separation fabric used to stop the migration of the stone into the soil, therefore eliminating settlement. It has nothing to do with weeds, they will come from the top not the bottom.

In Bucks and Montgomery County PA any time is a good time to lime. Due to our clay soils lime is one of the most beneficial things you can do to improve the soil. Remoember with lime too little is a waste of time and too much will NOT burn your lawn. Read the directions for the proper amount to be spread.
